This week, we have chosen this striking painting by our star artist, Abdelfattah 17 years old, who made this beautiful piece for his incredible doctor who supported him through the end of his treatment.
Abdel Fattah is one of RTC’s oldest children! He walked in for the first time as a 14-year-old boy who wasn’t a big fan of the arts. At the time, doctors didn’t think he would survive the year. Today, Abdel Fattah is a beautiful and healthy 17-year-old who through the arts has taught us all the meaning for perseverance, determination, dedication, hard work and most importantly love. With the love that he has in his heart towards life he was able to get through some of the hardest times of his life and in the process learn to paint! Abdel Fatath learned to paint at El Warsha from square one, and now has become one of the most talented artists that we’ve ever seen. He chooses to create certain nature pieces to describe the strength and malleability of the environment he is in as he relates to it through his treatment journey. The fluidity of the nature flow taught him about learning to let go and going with the flow of life. He portrays these ideas in a lot of his art work as these lessons have become part of who he is as a person.
